Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing, and measurements. No optical experience? Training and tools are provided to learn the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience. The role reports to the Office General Manager and may require weekend and evening shifts.

You will assist with charting medical history, manage patient flow, and operate pretest equipment to ensure a smooth visit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Friendly, patient demeanor with ability to comfort patients during screening.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
