Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry with preliminary testing and patient prep. Training will be provided to learn pretest equipment and visual screenings to ensure a best-in-class patient experience. Some weekend and evening shifts may be required.

This role emphasizes accurate documentation, smooth patient flow, and collaboration with the optometry team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for the Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures before/during exam.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
