Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary testing, and taking measurements. Training will be provided for those new to optics, with emphasis on delivering a best-in-class patient experience.

This role involves some weekend/evening shifts and reports to the Office General Manager, working closely with the Doctor(s) to ensure accurate documentation and smooth patient flow through visits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and patience during screening.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when documenting medical history.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry and procedures.
• Team-oriented with a focus on delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document conditions and history to prep for optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow between the doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures encountered during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide contact lens training and assist with preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
