Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care in a on-site setting. You will help patients select eyewear and accessories that fit their prescription and lifestyle, ensuring proper frame fit, measurements, and accurate lens dispensing.

The role combines technical dispensing with strong customer service and sales, including understanding insurance details and guiding patients through products and warranties.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains customized recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments based on lifestyle and prescription.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR/ALE system and communicate status to patients.
• Ensure proper frame fitting and lens measurements for optimum comfort and vision.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance benefits, copays, and coverage limitations.
