Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and patient care on-site. You will assist patients in choosing frames and lenses, ensure accurate measurements, and maintain high service standards while leveraging knowledge of lens options and insurance basics.

The role emphasizes delivering an exceptional patient experience, staying current on products, and coordinating with technicians and doctors to complete orders efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required or equivalent.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Proficient in PC skills including Windows and Word processing.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Explain lens options, coatings, and frame choices to customers.
• Take measurements and ensure proper frame fit and lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE systems and follow up on orders.
• Maintain patient communication and resolve order issues with management when needed.
