Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit prescription, lifestyle, and personal style, ensuring proper measurements and precise lens dispensing.

As part of the team, you will enter prescriptions into the EHR, educate patients about insurance, warranties, and care, and collaborate with technicians to keep orders on track while maintaining a clean, organized practice environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a focus on patient satisfaction.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and educates patients on eyewear options.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements and medical office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an extraordinary patient experience by explaining product and service recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Enter prescription data into EHR and maintain accurate patient records.
• Maintain proper frame fit, measure accuracy, and lens dispensing with attention to detail.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status and patient needs.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits, warranties, and care instructions.
