Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care. You will help patients select frames, lenses, and accessories tailored to prescription and lifestyle, ensuring proper fit and accurate dispensing.

Role requires interpreting prescriptions, entering data into EHR/ALE, and communicating effectively with patients and technicians to deliver quality results and high patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year of Optician experience preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• Proficient PC skills (MS Office, Windows).
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales experience.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary patient experience and explains customized eyewear recommendations.
• Assists patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories.
• Interprets prescriptions and enters data into the EHR/ALE system.
• Maintains knowledge of insurance benefits, copays, and coverage.
• Handles order status, follow-ups, and resolves issues with management if needed.
• Performs eyewear adjustments, repairs, and final product inspection.
