Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in frame and lens choices, ensure proper fit, and dispense lenses with accuracy and care.

Responsibilities include communicating with patients, technicians, and doctors, updating orders, and maintaining knowledge of insurance coverage and lens options. We value leadership growth and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains personal recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments to match prescription and lifestyle.
• Ensure proper frame fit and accurate lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription information into EHR and ALE systems and attach documentation.
• Educate patients on lens care, warranties, and protection plans.
• Maintain understanding of insurance plans and coverage details.
• Coordinate with technicians and doctors; relay order status to patients.
• Inspect final products and ensure quality; keep the practice clean and organized.
• Stay up to date on products, rebates, and lens options.
