Job summary

AEG Vision seeks an Optician to deliver expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care in a fast-paced optical practice. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit prescription, lifestyle, and personal style while ensuring proper fit and accurate measurements.

Responsibilities include using pupilometers and lensometers, interpreting prescriptions, educating patients on care and warranty, and maintaining EHR documentation with attention to HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Help patients select frames, lenses, and accessories to fit prescription, lifestyle and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements and correct lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE and maintain patient records.
• Educate patients on care, warranty, pricing, and insurance basics.
• Inspect and adjust eyewear for comfort and visual acuity; handle repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers; monitor order status and timelines.
