Job summary

AEG is seeking a dedicated Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and patient care in a fast-paced practice. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper measurements, and dispense glasses with accuracy while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

You will collaborate with technicians and doctors, stay current on products and lens options, and help patients understand insurance coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year of optician experience preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient experiences by explaining products and services.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments based on lifestyle and prescription.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, and lens options.
• Take and manage patient calls; escalate issues to management as needed.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR and communicate with technicians and doctors.
• Ensure proper frame fit, verification of measurements, and lens alignment.
• Support cleaning, organization, and overall clinic appearance.
