Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience, dispensing glasses and contacts per prescriptions from Optometrists/Ophthalmologists. The role connects patient needs to products and services offered to maximize retail sales while supporting medical needs.

The position requires one year of customer-facing experience, proficiency with eyewear fitting, and ability to operate lensometry equipment. ABO/NCLE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embrace Total Patient Experience to build relationships and provide medical support.
• Determine patient wants and needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style, color, and prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
• Take measurements: bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders per current process.
