Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience by dispensing and fitting glasses and contacts from optometrists' prescriptions, guiding patients to frames that suit facial features and personal style.

You will operate the lensometers, educate patients on lenses and coatings, and collect measurements to ensure precise fittings and accurate orders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a customer/patient-facing role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Favorable background check as required by state.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering strong medical support
• Determine patient wants and needs and sell to exceed expectations
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescriptions
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and pantoscopic tilt
• Dispense patient orders and repair/adjust frames
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders using current process
