Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician to provide exceptional patient care while dispensing and fitting glasses and contacts based on ophthalmologist and optometrist prescriptions.

The role focuses on optimizing the Total Patient Experience, helping patients select frames, and ensuring accurate measurements and lens choices. Strong customer service and basic ophthalmic knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO and NCLE certifications preferred but not required.
• Experience in a medical office and ophthalmic settings preferred.
• At least 1 year of customer/patient interaction experience.
• Ability to provide identity and work eligibility in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color, coordinating frames with measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend specific lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders and repair or adjust frames as needed.
• Dispense patient orders using current process.
