Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists, delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience while supporting medical needs.

You will assist with frame selection, operate lensometry, and ensure accurate measurements and inventory; the role requires strong communication, HIPAA compliance, and willingness to work a variety of shifts at the Marana office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer/patient interaction experience preferred.
• Previous medical office or ophthalmic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• Determine patients' wants and needs and sell to exceed their expectations
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and facial measurements
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs
• Accurately collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, pantoscopic tilt
• Dispense orders and repair and adjust frames
• Dispense glasses and/or contact lens orders in E360
• Maintain frame inventory and cleanliness
• Follow all protocols to keep inventory accurate
• General office duties as assigned by manager
• Assist with other duties in the office as needed
