Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. You will enhance the Total Patient Experience by connecting patient needs with eyewear products and services in a clinical setting.

The role emphasizes helping patients choose frames, operating lensometry equipment, and providing expert lens and coating recommendations to meet individual needs. Strong customer interaction is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• ABO/NCLE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world class Total Patient Experience and provide medical support.
• Determine patient wants and needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and facial measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend specific lenses, coatings and frames to suit patient needs.
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense patient orders and repair and adjust patient frames.
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders using current process.
