Job summary

EyeCare Partners offers an Optical Technician role focused on delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience. You will dispense glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists, while connecting patient needs to available products and services. The position emphasizes patient care and sales support.

The role requires frame selection assistance, measurement taking, and using lensometers, with opportunities for growth in eye-care expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers or patients.
• Preferred ophthalmic experience.
• ABO/NCLE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Embrace Total Patient Experience to build relationships while delivering medical support.
• Determine patient wants and needs and selling to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend specific lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Collect measurements: bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupillary distance, pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense patient orders and repair/adjust patient frames.
• Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders.
