Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience, maximizing retail sales while supporting patients’ medical needs. This role dispenses and fits glasses/contacts based on prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists, connecting patient needs to available goods and services.

The technician will assist in frame selection, take precise measurements, and ensure accurate dispensing of orders in a clinical/retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year interacting with customers or patients.
• Previous medical/ophthalmic office experience preferred.
• ABO and NCLE certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent patient care while supporting medical needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate with measurements.
• Operate lensometers and dispense orders.
• Educate on lenses, coatings and frames.
• Take measurements such as pupillary distance and pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders, and perform repairs.
