Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician to dispense and fit glasses and contacts based on prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists. This role focuses on delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience while connecting patient needs to products and services.

You will assist patients in frame selection, operate lensometry equipment, and educate on lens options to meet medical and retail goals. This on-site position emphasizes accuracy and patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer/patient interaction.
• Background check may be required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to deliver the Total Patient Experience.
• Assist patients in selecting frames by style/color and matching prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer for lens measurements.
• Educate patients on lenses, coatings, and frame options.
• Accurately collect measurements: bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, PD, pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders; repair and adjust frames.
• Process patient orders and ensure proper documentation.
