Job summary

EyeCare Partners LLC is seeking an Optical Technician to support patients by dispensing glasses and contacts according to prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.

You will assist patients in selecting frames, operate lensometry equipment, and ensure accurate measurements like PD and bridge size, while delivering the Total Patient Experience and driving retail sales in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients.
• Previous medical office or ophthalmic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embrace the Total Patient Experience and build relationships with patients while delivering strong medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and facial measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer to verify lens specs.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
• Accurately collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, and pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders and assist with frame repairs as needed.
