Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Supervisor to lead our in-house optical team. You’ll apply your dispensing expertise, customer service skills, and product knowledge to create exceptional experiences for every guest.

As a keyholder, you’ll open/close the store, mentor opticians and sales staff, maintain operations and inventories, and uphold Warby Parker standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician with 2+ years of experience and supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain eyewear terminology clearly to customers.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing store operations and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Directly assist customers to meet eyewear needs and ensure accurate measurements and fittings.
• Record measurements, adjust eyewear, and verify finished products meet standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terms and product options to customers.
• Lead store operations and staff, including mentoring the Optical team and Apprentice Program participants.
• Maintain inventory databases and general store systems; foster a positive team culture.
