Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a Licensed Optical Supervisor for the NYC market. The role involves direct customer eyewear service, precise measurements, and ensuring optical standards are met.

As a keyholder, you will manage opening/closing and lead the Optical team including apprentices. The ideal candidate will be a licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified, with 2+ years of supervisory experience, outstanding communication skills, and a passion for eyewear and retail excellence.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician with 2+ years of experience including supervisor responsibilities.
• ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states considered.
• Strong communication and leadership skills in a retail optical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical duties with accuracy, fitting eyewear, and explaining prescription terms to customers.
• Open/close duties as a keyholder and maintain store operations.
• Mentor Optical team including Apprentices, ensure excellent service and store standards.
• Support inventory databases and general store systems.
• Foster a positive, productive team culture in a fast-paced setting.
