Warby Parker in Oakbrook Center, IL seeks an Optical Supervisor to lead our in-house optical team and serve as a keyholder, opening and closing duties, while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The role combines optical duties with leadership, mentoring the Optical team, and maintaining store operations to Warby Parker standards. This position requires a licensed dispensing optician or ABO certification with 2+ years of supervision experience and a passion for eyewear.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician or ABO-certified optician with 2+ years of experience, including supervisor responsibilities.
• Strong customer service orientation and eyewear product knowledge.
• Clear, effective communication and ability to explain prescription terminology.
• Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and capable of multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs and ensure accurate measurements and fittings.
• Ensure eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers.
• Lead and mentor the Optical team, including Apprentice Program participants.
• Maintain store systems, inventory, and general operations.
