Job summary

Warby Parker in Austin, TX, seeks an Optical Supervisor to lead our in-store optical team with a blend of eyewear expertise and coaching to deliver exceptional customer experiences and precise fittings.

As a keyholder, you will manage opening and closing, mentor Optician Apprentices, and uphold Warby Parker standards in operations, service, and team culture in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid dispensing optician license where required by state law or be ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain eyewear terminology and options clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical duties on the floor: assist customers, take measurements, fit eyewear with precision.
• Check eyewear to ensure it meets optical standards and customer needs.
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers.
• Provide store leadership: open/close, supervise staff, and mentor Optician Apprentices.
