Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Manager to lead our in-house Optical team, coaching opticians and consulting customers to ensure exceptional eyewear experiences.

The role demands a licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified) with leadership experience, a strong customer focus, and a passion for eyewear retail. You will oversee operations, staffing, and store standards while promoting a positive, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified) with 2+ years in a management role.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with model behavior.
• Professional demeanor and decision-making on behalf of the team.
• Passion for eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator who explains technical terms to customers.

Responsibilities

• Optical duties: meet eyewear needs, take measurements, adjust eyewear, ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Leadership duties: manage a team of Opticians, provide feedback, develop staff, and uphold service standards.
• Plan staffing with Store Leader and oversee Optician Apprentice Program; support store systems and operations.
