Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an experienced Optical Manager to lead our in-house Optical team and coach a team of Opticians in Laguna Niguel. You will apply your product expertise to create exceptional eyewear experiences for every customer, from long-time fans to first-time wearers.

You will train and mentor staff, ensure adherence to optical standards, explain prescription terminology, and contribute to store operations while delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states) with 2+ years in a management role.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with focus on coaching on the floor.
• Professional demeanor and decision making in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries with clear communication.
• Not on the LEIE list; committed to high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Opticians with feedback and development conversations.
• Uphold service standards and implement retail programs to boost loyalty.
• Collaborate with Store Leader to plan staffing and oversee Optician Apprentice Program.
• Stay updated on HR policies and create a productive, safe store culture.
• Support store systems, inventory databases, and daily operations.
