Job summary

Stanton Optical in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking a Doctor’s Technician to serve as the meaningful first touchpoint in-store, delivering outstanding customer service while facilitating sales and coordinating between retail and clinical services. You will greet patients and help ensure smooth operations.

You will schedule tests, assist in exams, and support the flow from clinical to retail teams with a focus on empathy, accuracy, and timely eyewear orders.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher certification in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience delivering outstanding customer service to patients/customers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people.
• Active listening, rapport-building and empathy.
• Proactive, problem solving in a team setting.
• Collaborative spirit and respectful relationships.
• Results-driven with multitasking and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and customers as they enter the store and identify needs to ensure a memorable experience.
• Foster a strong partnership between the retail team and professional services.
• Schedule appointments, collect history, and perform required pre-tests and screenings.
• Assist management with patient concerns and update on status of all jobs.
• Maintain brand standards and perform basic housekeeping duties when needed.
• Execute simple repairs, assemble lenses, edge stock, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor lab area for equipment issues and order accuracy; report malfunctions.
• Track delivery times to patients and accommodate “Ready When Promised” commitments.
