Job summary

Walman Optical, a division of EssilorLuxottica, seeks a Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk) in Indianapolis to build and maintain customer and vendor relationships. You will manage quotations, stock orders, returns and purchase orders, coordinating with departments to deliver superior service.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, vendor communication, and adherence to company policies while ensuring confidentiality and a high standard of customer care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in customer service, hospitality or call center environment.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to remain composed with difficult customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Basic PC skills including MS Office; Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receive requests for price quotations, orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations from customers and labs.
• Maintain rapport with customers and provide the best possible service.
• Process returns, manage stock orders, and coordinate with vendors on orders and status.
• Assist in assembly, packaging and labeling for monthly mailings and auto-kit programs.
• Use a PC to retrieve customer information, stock status, order status, and update orders.
