Job summary

Walman Optical, a division of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking a Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk) in Sioux Falls, SD. The role focuses on building customer and vendor relationships, handling quotations, orders, returns, and coordinating cross‑department activities to deliver excellent service.

This full-time position requires 1+ year in customer service, exceptional telephone etiquette, sharp organizational skills, and strong verbal and written communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in customer service, hospitality or call center environment.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to maintain composure when dealing with difficult customer situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills, attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Basic PC skills including MS Office; Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receive requests for price quotations, orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers and labs.
• Build rapport with customers and provide the best possible service.
• Handle returning, repackaging, and documentation for overstock/defective items per policy.
• Assist in assembly, packaging, and labeling for monthly auto-kit mailings and maintain mailing lists.
• Retrieve customer and stock information from PC; input orders and ensure accurate data is stored.
• Coordinate with vendors on orders and status updates; follow up on quotations and delivery.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate policies, promotions, and procedures clearly.
• Maintain a neat, organized work area and confidentiality of sensitive information.
