Job summary

Walman Optical in Sioux Falls, SD is hiring a Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk) for full-time work in a fast-paced environment. You will handle quotes, orders, returns, and purchase orders while coordinating with other departments to deliver excellent service to customers.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work with vendors. Training and growth opportunities are provided within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of customer service, hospitality or call center experience.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to stay composed with tough customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and numerical accuracy.
• Basic PC skills including MS Office; Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receive requests for price quotations, orders, changes, and cancellations from customers and labs.
• Build rapport with customers and provide the best possible service.
• Process returns and coordinate with vendors per policy.
• Assist in packing and labeling frames for monthly mailings and manage contact lists.
• Use a PC to retrieve customer info, stock status, order status, and update orders.
• Collaborate with vendors for order status and delivery information.
• Troubleshoot questions from customers and coworkers.
• Explain company policies, promotions, and negotiate politely.
• Maintain a neat, organized work area and attend training.
