Job summary

Sam's Club in United States, MO is seeking an Optical Associate to assist members with eyewear purchases, fittings, and maintenance of the Optical area. You will measure pupillary distance, verify prescriptions, and help with frame and lens orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.

This role involves stocking displays, handling payments, and supporting OD services under supervision, while using POS systems for transactions and maintaining customer care standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent to sit for ABO exam.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• Experience assisting customers with eyewear and measurements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock and merchandise in the Optical area and set up displays.
• Educate members on eyewear usage and care; assist with fittings and repairs.
• Process eyewear and contact lens orders and verify prescription information.
• Perform final inspection of eyewear and coordinate with labs and optometrists as needed.
• Maintain records and comply with HIPAA and company procedures.
