Job summary

Sam's Club in Eagan, MN is seeking an Optical Associate to stock, present, and organize the Optical area, process member purchases, and support OD services. You will measure pupillary distance, adjust frames, and complete eyewear orders while ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.

You will educate members on eyewear usage, assist with contact lens guidance, and coordinate with labs and optometrists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent upon job entry or within 12 months of hire in order to sit for ABO exam.
• Must obtain American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification within 15 months of hire or job entry.
• Willingness to register and maintain own state licensure as required by state law; apprenticeship requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Stock and present merchandise in the Optical area; handle claims and returns according to policy.
• Assist members with eyewear purchases; measure pupillary distance and frame adjustments; complete orders.
• Process optical eyewear and contact lens orders; coordinate with labs and optometrists as needed.
• Educate members on eyewear usage; support contact lens insertion/removal and hygiene guidance.
