Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; required within 12 months to sit for ABO exam
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire
• Licensed/Registered for apprenticeship/optician licensure within state requirements (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Stock and merchandise presentation in Optical area; handle claims and returns; maintain and organize eyewear displays
• Process optical eyewear and contact lens orders; measure pupillary distance; adjust and repair frames
• Assist members with purchases; perform eyewear fittings, order completion, and verify prescription details
• Handle payments, returns, refunds, and POS transactions; support OD services and pre-testing as needed
• Ensure calibration and cleanliness of optical equipment and maintain records per procedures
