Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or within 12 months of hire.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• Must satisfy state licensure requirements as apprentice/optician within specified timelines.
• Must complete licensure requirements within the applicable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with eyewear purchases, measurements, and frame adjustments.
• Process optical orders, verify prescriptions, and coordinate with labs.
• Maintain and stock the Optical area according to policy and procedure.
• Educate members on eyewear usage, care, and contact lens insertions/removals.
• Handle POS transactions, payments, returns, and refunds for eye care materials.
