Job summary

joinaegvision is seeking an Assistant Manager to support Practice Managers in daily store operations within our optical practice. You will supervise staff, ensure policy adherence, assist opticians with sales, and help resolve patient service issues on the floor.

Key responsibilities include monitoring patient flow, coordinating schedules, leading staff meetings, and providing ongoing coaching. ABO certification is preferred but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive optical experience required.
• Experience with customer service and/or sales.
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations on the sales floor.
• Assist Practice Manager in scheduling, staff oversight and training.
• Resolve customer service issues and troubleshoot patient concerns.
• Monitor patient flow, appointments and walk-ins to maintain on-time performance.
• Supervise staff breaks and ensure compliance with policies.
• Participate in interviewing and onboarding of new staff.
• Help manage inventory and ensure store is clean, stocked, and organized.
• Lead staff meetings and provide ongoing feedback.
• Escalate complex issues to Practice Manager or HR as needed.
