Job summary

AEG Vision seeks a Licensed Assistant Practice Manager to support the Practice Manager in daily operations, patient flow, and service delivery on the practice floor. This hands-on developmental leadership role builds operational knowledge, leadership capability, and readiness for expanded responsibility over time.

The role covers patient care coordination, optical sales and service, technician support, and daily routines, with opportunities to grow across practice functions and support team

Qualifications

• Licensed MA dispensing optician is required.
• Extensive dispensing experience is required.
• Experience in optical/practice functions is preferred.
• 1–2 years leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting.
• Ability to learn practice systems and workflow tools quickly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related education or equivalent experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, and service execution.
• Work on the practice floor across multiple practice functions to support patient care.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, and training reinforcement.
• Identify service concerns and escalate appropriately.
• Prepare for patient care and maintain readiness for daily operations.
• Participate in interviews and onboarding as requested.
• Act as designated practice contact in the Practice Manager’s absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
