Job summary

Affinity Eyecare Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to support Practice Managers in overseeing daily store operations on the sales floor and assisting Opticians with sales and troubleshooting. You will help resolve customer service issues and ensure policies are followed.

The ideal candidate has extensive optical experience and strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on service, scheduling, and staff coordination at an on-site location.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Computer literacy and data entry.
• Ability to read and understand basic financial statements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand up to 8 hrs a day.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations on the sales floor.
• Assist Opticians with sales and troubleshooting; resolve customer service issues.
• Monitor patient flow, appointments, and walk-ins for on-time performance.
• Coordinate with Technicians on schedules; lead staff meetings with Practice Manager.
• Participate in interviewing and selection of new staff and in disciplinary actions.
• Document employee relations issues and escalate where needed.
