Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and three years of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with hospital registration and billing systems preferred.
• Ability to verify eligibility and assist with financial counseling.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients in-person or by phone to obtain information for hospital records and billing.
• Pre-register patients for admission, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services per policy.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorization for services requiring pre-certification.
• Process referrals and perform clerical tasks such as calls, chart processing, and scans.
• Collect upfront deposits or arrange payment plans as required.
• Screen for Medicaid or ACA programs and provide documentation and referrals.
