Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) in North Carolina for an onsite, full-time role. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect liabilities, and guide patients to financial counseling as needed.

Responsibilities include scheduling, pre-certification, and maintaining accurate ADT records while delivering excellent service with compassion in a busy, patient-facing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; patient access experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and insurance processes helpful.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect/verify demographic and insurance information.
• Inform patients of estimated liabilities and collect balances.
• Identify patients needing financial assistance and refer to counseling.
• Complete registration for walk-in patients and update records as needed.
• Assist with scheduling, pre-certification, and utilization of ADT system.
