Job summary

Rosin Eyecare is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to ensure high-quality eye care and a seamless patient experience. You will assist with eye exams, manage patient records, and help with testing and imaging while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The role requires strong customer service, familiarity with ophthalmic equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting with occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of strong customer service experience.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with exam software and ophthalmic equipment.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of a typical office environment.
• Good basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and eye exams, manage records and patient flow.
• Conduct preliminary evaluations including histories, refractions, and measurements.
• Perform testing such as OCT, biometry, topography, and retinal imaging.
• Explain measurements to patients and address questions.
• Maintain organized, HIPAA-compliant records and schedules.
• Ensure equipment and exam lanes are disinfected and ready for use.
• Support weekend/evening hours as needed by location.
