Job summary

Rosin Eyecare Downers Grove is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to ensure patients receive the highest quality ophthalmic care and to connect the doctor with the rest of the care team.

You will assist with patient care and eye exams, perform preliminary evaluations, and conduct advanced testing (OCT, biometry, topography, retinal imaging). You’ll maintain records, help with scheduling, and uphold HIPAA standards. Weekend and evening shifts may be required to support business needs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1+ year of strong customer service experience.
• Strong communicator and listener; able to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use exam software and ophthalmic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams; manages patient records and supports exam flow.
• Performs preliminary evaluations including histories, medications review, visual acuity, refraction, and measurements.
• Performs tests such as OCT, biometry, topography, and retinal imaging.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant records and assist with scheduling.
