Job summary

Rosin Eyecare Downers Grove is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to ensure high-quality ophthalmic care and a seamless patient experience. The role supports doctors, performs pre-exam testing, and conducts specialized imaging with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will handle patient records, maintain equipment hygiene, and assist with scheduling while adhering to HIPAA and practice standards. Weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1+ year of strong customer service skills (internal/external).
• Ability to use exam software, point-of-sale technology and ophthalmic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and eye exams, including managing patient records and supporting patient flow throughout the exam.
• Performs preliminary evaluations including obtaining patient histories, reviewing medications, visual acuities, refraction, and intraocular measurements.
• Performs special testing including OCTs, biometry, topography, and retinal imaging/photography.
