Job summary

Target Optical is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to deliver high-quality eye care and an exceptional patient experience. You will assist with exams, manage records, and support the doctor and staff in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include patient histories, pre-exam testing, operating ophthalmic equipment, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork; weekend/evening shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of strong customer service experience.
• Ability to use exam software and ophthalmic equipment.
• Strong communicator and listener with organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and eye exams, manage records and patient flow.
• Perform preliminary evaluations and pre-exam testing with accuracy.
• Operate ophthalmic equipment and document results in the system.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of records and scheduling.
