Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician to support ophthalmic care across clinics. You will prepare patients, document histories, and perform essential eye assessments under clinician supervision.

The role requires multitasking in a fast-paced practice, strong communication, and the ability to travel between offices. Prior ophthalmic experience and certifications are preferred, with a focus on accuracy and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between clinics.
• Ophthalmic technician certification preferred.
• Experience in ophthalmic or optometric field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and assists doctors.
• Collects and documents patient’s chief complaint and ocular history.
• Performs refractions and basic Visual Acuity assessments.
• Conducts IOP tests, Fundus photos, and Visual Field tests.
• Assists with angiography procedures and dilation medications.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and proper documentation.
• Manages patient flow and provides home care instructions.
