Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician in Torrance, CA to support ophthalmic examinations and patient care. This role involves preparing patients, performing basic tests, and documenting findings in the EMR system.

Responsibilities include assisting clinicians, conducting refractions, VA assessments, IOP tests, and photography, as well as maintaining equipment and patient education materials. Travel to other clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel to other clinics as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist doctors.
• Document patient chief complaints and health history.
• Perform Refractions and basic VA assessments.
• Conduct IOP, tonopen tests, and fundus photography.
• Perform Visual Field tests and FA/ICG procedures.
• Administer ophthalmic medications and maintain sterile exam rooms.
• Document examinations and update CareCoud/EMR records.
