Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician to support ophthalmology clinics with patient preparation, documentation, and basic tests. The role involves assisting doctors, performing refractions, VA/IOP, and fundus photography, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, plus ophthalmic certifications if available. Travel between clinics may be required, with HIPAA and OSHA compliance expected at all times.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Willingness to travel between clinics as assigned.
• Certifications in ophthalmic assisting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist doctors.
• Perform refractions and basic VA and IOP tests.
• Take fundus photos and perform VF, FA, and ICG procedures.
• Maintain sterile exam rooms and document ocular findings in EMR.
• Drive patients between clinics if required.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies.
