Job summary

Visionary Eye Institute is seeking a skilled Back Office Ophthalmic Technician to support physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. The technician will work up patients, perform diagnostic testing, and help maintain smooth clinic flow.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting histories, performing OCT, visual fields, IOP, fundus photography, and assisting with in-office procedures. Candidates should be patient-centered, detail-oriented, and proficient with EHR

Qualifications

• Clinical ophthalmic certification or equivalent training.
• Experience with basic testing and patient prep preferred.
• Strong detail orientation and patient communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and collect medical histories and chief complaints.
• Perform visual acuity, refraction, pupil exams, and IOP measurements.
• Administer dilating drops per physician instruction.
• Conduct OCT, visual fields, fundus imaging, and biometry testing.
• Scribe and document encounters in the EHR.
• Prepare and calibrate ophthalmic equipment; assist with procedures.
