Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician to prepare patients for examinations and assist optical professionals in providing eye care. This role includes performing refractions, VA, IOP, Fundus photos, VF tests, and angiography procedures, while maintaining sterile exam rooms.

Candidate will also handle patient education, documentation in CareCoud/EMR, and possible patient transport in a company vehicle. Travel between clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; familiar with standard office equipment.
• Detail oriented, organized, process driven, and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and support doctors.
• Collect and document patient chief complaints.
• Verify patient ocular and medical history; note medications.
• Obtain consents; ensure patients sign documents.
• Perform refractions and basic Visual Acuity assessments.
• Conduct IOP tests with Tonopen; take Fundus photos; perform VF tests.
• Administer fluorescein angiography and indocyanine green angiography procedures.
• Administer topical meds and dilating drops; maintain clean exam rooms.
