Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician to support patient care, office and laboratory duties. The role prepares patients for examination and assists ophthalmic clinicians in providing treatment to the eyes.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel between clinics. Experience in ophthalmic settings and bilingual Spanish are desirable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel to other clinics as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist doctors.
• Perform refractions and basic Visual Acuity (VA) tests.
• Conduct intraocular pressure (IOP) tests and take Fundus photos.
• Administer Visual Field (VF) tests and Angiography procedures as prescribed.
• Maintain clean, sterile exam rooms and document ocular examinations in EMR.
• Provide patient education and ensure understanding of home care instructions.
