Job summary

Acuity Eye Group is seeking a Back Office Technician to support ophthalmology clinics. The role includes preparing patients for examinations, assisting doctors, and documenting medical histories. You will perform refractions, VA tests, IOP measurements, fundus photos, and visual field testing while maintaining a clean exam room and patient education.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel between clinics. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School education, GED or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel to other clinics as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and assists doctors.
• Collects and documents patient chief complaint and health history.
• Performs refractions and basic Visual Acuity assessments.
• Conducts IOP testing with tonometer and takes fundus photos.
• Maintains clean, sterile exam rooms and provides patient education materials.
