Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking an Operations Supervisor-in-training as part of our Management Training Program. This 20-week program immerses you in frontline supervision, safety, maintenance and transportation processes across a nationwide Service Center network.

Relocation to one of our 240+ facilities is required as you progress to a full Operations Supervisor role. During training you will shadow supervisors, assist account managers, and learn through hands-on assignments, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to relocate is required.
• General knowledge of freight handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain load plan and balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks to workers according to schedules.
• Coordinate work assignments and monitor performance.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary input as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment for personnel and visitors.
• Foster safe handling of hazardous materials.
